The Greek metal supremo is returning to the Boileroom in Guildford for an evening of intense melodic shred and tales of his heavy metal adventures!

Who is Gus G?

Gus G has spent his career carving his name into the bedrock of the modern metal world. Feared and revered in equal measure for his formidable sound, he’s renowned for performing with the likes of Firewind, Arch Enemy and the one and only Ozzy Osbourne to name a few!

He’ll be¬†taking time out of Firewind’s 2017 European tour to talk about his latest solo album ‘I Am The Fire’, his signature gear from endorsers Jackson and Blackstar and his melodic approach to metal lead playing. You simply cannot miss this golden opportunity to see the man himself at this intimate event!

What does he play?

Let’s talk about gear. As of 2017, Gus is endorsed by Jackson guitars, Blackstar amplification, Boss and Seymour Duncan among others! Let’s have a closer look at two of the most crucial elements of his rig:

Jackson Gus G Star Signature

Boasting dual signature Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups, this striking axe is designed to ooze attitude and soar at high speed. Gus G has opted for a quatersawn maple neck with rosewood fretboard, complete with his logo as a mother of pearl inlay. Slick black hardware and the renowned Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock complete the picture. Make no mistake – this guitar sounds as gnarly as it looks! Find out more here.

Blackstar Blackfire 200 Head

This 200W beast started life as a modded Series 1 head. Gus then teamed up with Blackstar to fully realise his vision for a scorching-hot amp that could handle his rigorous touring routine and distinct style of playing. The end result? A 4-channel, 6-mode sonic force to be reckoned with!
