NAMM 2026: day 3 highlights

Scroll on for all the must‑see moments from day three — incuding our Sire booth tour, Wampler’s latest pedal, new HILS headless guitars and more.

Orange OR60 valve amp head

It’s always a treat swinging by the Orange Amps booth at NAMM. And let’s be honest, it’s impossible to miss. Just follow the wall of bright, citrus‑toned cabs glowing across the show floor — no exhibition map required.

Captain Lee caught up with Orange’s legendary designer Ade Emsley to hear the brand‑new OR60 in action and dig into the ideas behind it. Think of it as the OR30’s beefier big brother: same front end, same circuitry, same bright switch — just way more oomph.

This is pure, unapologetic rock ’n’ roll. The OR60’s a single‑channel valve bruiser powered by a pair of 6L6s, with a footswitchable second volume control for added flexibility. You also get presence and resonance controls, a valve‑buffered FX loop, plus a negative feedback loop to keep things tight when the gain starts to bite.

Wampler Pedalhead ‘machine learning’ power amp pedal

The legend that is Brian Wampler has teamed up with Synergy Amps to unveil the Wampler Pedalhead. Built as a pedalboard-ready solution, this 240-watt stereo power amp (equivalent to 60W of valve power) serves as the the engine that pumps life into rigs with digital effects or preamp pedals. It features six distinct power amp models, a built-in IR loader and full MIDI support. These features aim to deliver a responsive, tube-like playing feel whether you’re running straight into a PA system or powering a conventional guitar cabinet.

We’re awaiting more info on this one but we’re stoked. Want to be first in line? Sign up to our newsletter and we’ll keep you posted!

Sire NAMM 2026 booth tour: new models, swirl finishes & intriguing prototypes

We dug into Sire’s latest Larry Carlton guitars and Marcus Miller basses in our NAMM 2026: Day 2 roundup — and it’s well worth a read. There’s a ton of cool stuff to catch up on, including new entry‑level models, fresh additions to the L, S and T Series, plus plenty more eye‑catching updates.

But if you’d rather grab a cuppa and let Pete and Lee walk you through it all, you’re in luck. They cover the whole lot in the video below, and there’s even a surprise cameo from Marcus Miller himself!

Boutique Distribution: Tone King Royalist preamp pedal, new Synergy RV module & SYN-20IR combo

We teased the Tone King Royalist preamp pedal in our day 2 roundup, and promised more details would follow. We’ve stuck to our word, with Lee and Pete putting this tidy little preamp through its paces at the Boutique Distribution stand.

This magical, valve‑driven box distils those classic late‑’60s and ’70s Marshall tones into a compact, direct‑ready pedal. You get two identical channels, each with its own 3‑band EQ, tone‑shaping switches, built‑in reverb and plenty more to tweak. The boys were seriously impressed, and we can’t wait for these to hit the shelves.

A quick shout‑out to Synergy, too. Their latest gear makes a brief appearance at the end of the video, including the new RV module inspired by the Orange Rockerverb — ideal if you’re a Synergy player craving a hit of vitamin C. They also revealed the SYN-20IR valve combo, which can take any compatible two‑channel module for a killer grab‑and‑go gigging rig.

HILS Guitars: HN3 Baritone, T-style & S-type headless models, acoustic prototype

We’ve been stocking HILS guitars for a couple of years now — pretty much since they first burst onto the scene — and they’ve been nothing short of a revelation. They’ve absolutely nailed the modern headless formula at prices everyone can get behind, and for NAMM 2026 they’ve rolled in with a fresh batch of models.

Highlights include the HN3 Baritone (tuned B‑to‑B straight outta the box), an “evil” 8‑string multi‑scale prototype, plus new HNT1 T‑style and HNS1 S‑type headless guitars — both of which are already live on our site in a variety of colours. But the biggest curveball? A multi‑scale acoustic prototype. And yes, it looks every bit as cool as it sounds. Check ‘em all out in our video below:

Seymour Duncan: MortalCoil, 50th anniversary JB/Jazz & Slash 3.0 pickups

When it comes to guitar tone, few names carry more weight than Seymour Duncan. And for 2026, the maestro and his team have cooked up some serious treats for tone chasers:

  • MortalCoil multi-voice active humbuckers: Seymour Duncan’s answer to the Fishman Fluence is here. These pickups pack three precision‑engineered voices: a tight, modern‑metal MC1 mode with fast, controlled attack; authentic JB and Jazz‑inspired passive tones; and a clear, articulate single‑coil voice. An ultra‑versatile upgrade for just about any guitar — and they look the biz too.
  • 50th Anniversary JB/Jazz set: The iconic JB/Jazz duo turns 50 in 2026, and Duncan are marking the milestone with a limited‑edition anniversary release. Built with historically accurate components (including butyrate bobbins and rough‑cast magnets), this set is a faithful recreation of the earliest production models.
  • Slash 3.0 pickups: Slash’s signature arsenal gets an upgrade. The 3.0 set delivers more punch and aggression while keeping that unmistakable Slash clarity intact, with rough‑cast Alnico 5 magnets and a vintage‑inspired construction.

Warm Audio Fluff Drive Ryan Bruce signature pedal

Warm Audio have turned up to NAMM with the limited‑edition Fluff Drive, the first‑ever signature pedal from YouTuber and tone connoisseur Ryan “Fluff” Bruce. It’s his modernised, metal‑ready take on an iconic ’80s scream machine — keeping the attitude of the original but completely re‑engineered to hit harder, track tighter and stay composed when the gain gets silly.

The feature set reads like a riff‑lord’s wishlist: a redesigned low‑boost for punchier bass response, a switchable mid‑enhance circuit that can sit before or after the drive, plus a fully variable noise gate to keep your chugs clean and your breakdowns surgical. Warm Audio have packed it with proper analogue goodness too — JRC4558 op‑amps, discrete transistors, JFETs and internal voltage‑doubling for extra headroom. And because looks matter, it comes in Teal or White — pick whichever flavour best matches your board (or your beard).

Below, you can watch Lee catch up with Ryan as he breaks down the design, the tweaks and the downright filthy tones this pedal can unleash. And keep your eyes peeled — there’s more “Stuff with Fluff” coming this spring. He’ll be visiting Guildford for fewer sheNAMMigans and a whole lot more tone talk!
