Introducing the Fender Vintera II! But what is so special about it? A comparison Guide

Share

The Fender Vintera II electric guitars are now released! You may be wondering what is so special about these guitars, and how they compare to the original Vintera, and other guitars from the Fender & Squier range which share similarities, but all shine in their own light? Lets have a look!

Fender Vintera II

Fender have done it again. The Vintera II series has built upon the success of the first Vintera launch, bringing you the most accurate recreations of timeless, classic electric guitars from the golden eras of Fender’s history. The Vintera II brings you more accurate and detailed vintage specifications, with the reintroduction of Rosewood fretboards, era specific pickups, and the addition of new models to the range.

The use of more traditional components used in the Vintera II series makes them one of the most era specific guitars Fender have made. This puts the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s eras in your hands for you to wield a stylish, vintage sounding, and an authentic feeling electric guitar! The Vintera II series pays tribute to the innovatively designed instruments that defined decades of music.

Fender Vintera I

The first Vintera series presented us with vintage looking and sounding guitars that focused on representing each of the golden ages of Fender. Offering value-for-money and superb quality, the Vintera series grew with popularity. Although the Vintera series was meant to replicate all the great things about vintage Fender’s, they also put they’re own spin on things, featuring Pao Ferro fretboards, and re-voiced pickups that were designed in homage to the original voicings but produced hotter outputs. The pickups featured on these guitars are softer, producing that authentic vintage Fender sound.

The first series of Vintera guitars included a fairly wide variety of different Fender styles to choose from, such as the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang, Jazz Bass, Mustang Bass, and Precision Bass. The Vintera series presented a flavour for everyone.

Fender Player Plus

Fusing classic Fender design with player-centric features and exciting new finishes, the Player Plus Stratocaster delivers superb playability and unmistakable style. Built with all the components and designs that make Fender electric guitars great, the Player and Player Plus series takes into account the modern player. Fender have innovated the classic styles of the Stratocaster, Telecaster, and Jazzmaster to create contemporary looking, and feeling instruments by featuring a modern “C” shape neck profile, locking tuners, noiseless pickups and on the neck profile, the edges have been rolled to match the same specifications of the Fender American Series.

With classic Fender style, advanced features and stunning new finishes, the Player Plus Stratocaster is the perfect tool to spark your creativity and stand out from the crowd.

Squier Classic Vibe

The Squier Classic Vibe is inspired by the incredible and iconic Fender guitars of it’s golden era during the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Known for their incredible value for money, the Squier Classic Vibe series is incredible value for money, but performs at a much higher level. The Classic Vibe has rivalled many other electric guitars that share a similar style. Built in Indonesia, this series of guitars features fantastic build quality, using tone woods like Poplar, Pine, and Nyatoh. The guitars in this range have a 60`s style slim “C” neck.

There are a lot of great things to say about the Classic Vibe – they are a real solid guitar to play! This series of Squier guitars have a lot to give, especially for the price, but for someone who is looking for a more period accurate, vintage sounding (not just looking) electric guitar, then the Vintera II is for you!
